Privacy Policy Statement for EternalStillth.Com
Effective Date: 13-Aug-2021
Last Updated: 27-Sep-2023
The following statement provides an overview of what kind of data is collected for what purpose and to what extent this data is made available to third parties. I hope to be able to assure you that I do not collect any data - and that the companies I rely on to provide this website do not misuse this data either. If you are still unsure, I regret that I must advise you to stop visiting this website.
Note: I have given much effort to provide the information in a simple and clearly understandable way. The following explanations may therefore not be legally correct in precise detail. The focus is on you being able to understand which data is collected at which point and how.
Digital Artist & Blogger
I am an artist and blogger - and have been blogging, creating art and sharing creative content online since the early 2000s. I may earn a small income with advertising banners and/or affiliate programs.
Important:I create content about and for a target group of people over the age of 18 who specifically identify with the goth or alternative subculture, who appreciate art which can be categorized as dark, whimsical, horror or gothic. My content is not targeted to, intended to be consumed by, or designed to entice individuals under the age of 18. If you know of or have reason to believe anyone under the age of 18 has provided me with any personal information, please contact me.
I may also include affiliate links. This means, when you click on them, you go to an Amazon product page. If you then purchase products on Amazon, I may receive advertising commissions, which is a small percentage of the net price. This does not increase the price of the product itself and does not affect your purchase in any way.
It is not (and has not been) part of my concept to collect or exploit user data. That means I do not collect or store any user data in connection with this website for reasons not mentioned in this declaration. I also do not use third party data to create and/or exploit any user profiles. However, I may use third party providers that store data. More on that below.
Data Protection Declaration
The following information provides a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit my website. Personal data is any data by which you can be personally identified. For detailed information on the subject of data protection, please refer to my privacy policy listed below this text.
Cookies
I use cookies on my site. These are small files that are automatically created by your browser and stored on your end device (laptop, tablet, smartphone or similar) when you visit my site. Cookies do not cause any damage to your end device and do not contain any viruses, Trojans or other malware.
Information is stored in the cookie that is related to the specific end device used. However, this does not mean that I gain direct knowledge of your identity.
The use of cookies serves, on the one hand, to make the use of my offer more pleasant for you. I use so-called session cookies to recognise that you have already visited individual pages of my website. These are automatically deleted after you leave my site.
In addition, I also use temporary cookies to optimise user-friendliness, which are stored on your end device for a certain fixed period of time. If you visit my site again to use my services, it is automatically recognised that you have already been to my site and which entries and settings you have made so that you do not have to enter them again.
On the other hand, I use cookies to statistically record the use of my website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimising my offer for you (see Plugins and Tools). These cookies enable me to automatically recognise that you have already been to my website when you visit it again. These cookies are automatically deleted after a defined period of time.
The data processed by cookies is necessary for the mentioned purposes to protect my legitimate interests as well as those of third parties in accordance with Art. 6 (1) p. 1 lit. f GDPR.
Most browsers accept cookies automatically. However, you can configure your browser so that no cookies are stored on your computer or a notice always appears before a new cookie is created. However, the complete deactivation of cookies may mean that you cannot use all the functions of my website.
Some of the Internet pages use so-called cookies. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies serve to make my offer more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.
Most of the cookies I use are so-called "session cookies". They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your terminal device until you delete them. These cookies enable me to recognise your browser on your next visit.
You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or generally and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If you deactivate cookies, the functionality of this website may be limited. You can delete cookies manually in your browser at any time.
Cookies that are required to carry out the electronic communication process or to provide certain functions you have requested (e.g. shopping cart function) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services. Insofar as other cookies (e.g. cookies to analyse your surfing behaviour) are stored, these are treated separately in this data protection declaration.

Server Log Files
The provider of this website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to my website.
In the process, data is automatically sent from your device (for example, the IP address so that the website can be returned to your device and displayed in the first place) without my having any control over it. This data is stored for a period of time at GoDaddy.com in so-called logfiles for a legally specified period of time. This includes:
- IP address of the requesting computer,
- Date and time of access,
- Name and URL of the file accessed,
- website from which the access was made (referrer URL),
- the browser used and, if applicable, the operating system of your computer as well as the name of your access provider.
The beforementioned data is processed by me for the following purposes:
- Ensuring a smooth connection set-up of the website,

- evaluating system security and stability, and
- for other administrative purposes.
This data can initially be assigned to specific persons. This data will not be merged with other data sources and will be deleted after a statistical evaluation. No additional data is collected than usual in general and on other comparable websites.
Website Analytics
This website may also partner with selected third-party vendors such as CookieYes and Google Analytics to allow tracking technologies and remarketing services on the site through the use of first party cookies and third-party cookies, to, among other things, analyse and track users' use of the site, determine the popularity of certain content and better understand online activity. By accessing the site, you consent to the collection and use of your information by these third-party vendors. You are encouraged to review their privacy policy and contact them directly for responses to your questions. However, if you do not want any information to be collected and used by tracking technologies, you can visit the third-party vendor or the Consent Preferences button below.
Data Disclosure
I do not transfer your personal data to third parties for purposes other than those listed below.
I may only pass on your personal data to third parties if:
- you have given your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 sec. 1 Sentence 1 lit. a GDPR,
- the disclosure is necessary to protect my legitimate interests or the legitimate interests of third parties in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f GDPR and there is no reason to assume that you have an overriding interest worthy of protection in the non-disclosure of your data,
- in the event that there is a legal obligation to disclose your data pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. c GDPR, and
- this is legally permissible and necessary for the processing of contractual relationships with you according to Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. b GDPR.
Your data is collected when you provide it to me. This can be, for example, data that you enter in the comments form, contact form, purchases, or in an e-mail.
Communications Function (Comments, contact form, orders, emails)
For the communications function on this page, in addition to your content, details of when the content was created, your e-mail address and, if you do not post anonymously, your name or the username you have chosen will be stored. Additionally, any information given pertaining to products or services such as billing address, postal address and contact number will only be stored to expedite future recurring transactions.
Comments may be moderated before publishing and be checked and monitored by anti-spam software.
The comments and the associated data (e.g. IP address) are stored by and remain on Google.com until the commented content has been completely deleted or until the comments have to be deleted for administrative or legal reasons (e.g. offensive comments).
The comments are stored on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke your consent at any time. For this purpose, an informal communication by e-mail to me is sufficient. The legality of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.
IP Address Storage
The comment function may store the IP addresses of users who post comments. Since I do not monitor comments on my site before they are published, I need this data to be able to take action against the author in the event of legal violations such as spam, threats, insults, hate/racism, pornographic content or propaganda.
Other Data
Other data is automatically collected by my IT systems when you visit the website. This is mainly essential technical data (e.g. internet browser, operating system or time of page view). This data is collected automatically as soon as you enter my website.
Your Rights
You have the right...
- To request information about your personal data processed by me in accordance with Art. 15 GDPR. In particular, you can request information about the processing purposes, the category of personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the planned storage period, the existence of a right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or objection, the existence of a right of complaint, the origin of your data if it has not been collected by me, as well as the existence of automated decision-making, including profiling, and, if applicable, meaningful information about its details;

- in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR, to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data, insofar as the accuracy of the data is disputed by you, the processing is unlawful, but you object to its erasure and we no longer require the data, but you need it for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims or you have objected to the processing in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR;
- pursuant to Art. 20 GDPR, to receive your personal data that you have provided to me in a structured, common and machine-readable format or to request that it be transferred to another provider;

- to complain to a supervisory authority in accordance with Art. 77 GDPR. As a rule, you can contact the supervisory authority of your usual place of residence.
In summary, you have the right to receive information about the origin, recipient and purpose of your stored personal data free of charge at any time. You also have the right to request the correction, blocking or deletion of this data. You can contact me at any time at the address given in the Legal Notice for this purpose and for further questions on the subject of data protection. Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

Data Security
The owner of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. I treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this data protection declaration.
When you use this website, various personal data are collected. Personal data is data that can be used to identify you personally. This privacy policy explains what data I collect and what I use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose this is done.
I would like to point out that data transmission on the Internet (e.g. communication by e-mail) can have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.
The website owner is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data (e.g. names, e-mail addresses or similar).
SSL Encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to me as the site operator, this site uses SSL encryption (Secure Socket Layer) in connection with the highest encryption level supported by your browser. As a rule, this is 256-bit encryption. If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, we use 128-bit v3 technology instead. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser’s URL bar.
When SSL encryption is activated, the data you transmit to me cannot be read by third parties.
Information Correction, Blocking & Deletion
Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipient and the purpose of the data processing and, if applicable, a right to correction, blocking or deletion of this data. Plugins, Analysis Tools & Advertising
When visiting my website, your surfing behaviour can be statistically evaluated. This is done primarily with cookies and so-called analysis programs. The analysis of your surfing behaviour is usually anonymous; the surfing behaviour cannot be traced back to you. You can object to this analysis or prevent it by not using certain tools. You will find detailed information on this in the following data protection declaration.
You can object to this analysis. I will inform you about the objection options in this section below.
The responsibility for data protection-compliant operation is to be ensured by their respective providers. I integrate these plugins using the so-called two-click method in order to protect visitors to my website as best as possible.
Tracking Tools
The tracking measures listed below and used by me are carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f GDPR. With the tracking measures used, I want to ensure a needs-based design and the ongoing optimisation of my website. On the other hand, I use the tracking measures to statistically record the use of my website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimising my content for you. These interests are to be regarded as legitimate within the meaning of the beforementioned provision.
The respective data processing purposes and data categories can be found in the corresponding tracking tools.
Google Fonts
This site may use so-called web fonts provided by Google for the uniform display of fonts. When you call up a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into its browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly.
For this purpose, the browser you use must connect to Google's servers. This enables Google to know that my website has been accessed via your IP address. Google Web Fonts are used in the interest of a uniform and appealing presentation of my online offers. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.
If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font is used by your computer.
Further information on Google Web Fonts can be found at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google's privacy policy: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.
Font Awesome
This website may use Font Awesome.
Font Awesome collects data about use of its content delivery networks:
Content delivery networks are worldwide networks of computer servers that make sure everyone online can download files quickly from servers near to them. Font Awesome uses content delivery networks to serve files for its free and Pro icons. Many websites using Font Awesome icons have visitors download the icons from Font Awesome's content delivery networks.
When you visit a website that uses a Font Awesome content delivery network to load icons, Font Awesome collects data about what icon files you download and when.
Font Awesome uses data about how you use Font Awesome content delivery networks to:
- optimize the content delivery networks, so website visitors can download files quickly
- diagnose and debug technical errors
- defend the content delivery networks from abuse and technical attacks
- calculate fees for Font Awesome Pro customers
- compile statistics on icon popularity
- compile statistics on the kinds of software and computers visitors use
Font Awesome usually stores data about how you use content delivery networks in identifiable form for just a few weeks. In special circumstances, like extended investigations about technical attacks, Font Awesome may preserve log data longer, for analysis.
Font Awesome stores aggregate statistics about use of content delivery networks indefinitely, but those statistics don't include data identifiable to you personally.

Amazon Web Services (AWS)
This website may use load balancing cookies from Amazon Web Services, Inc. and its affiliates (AWS). There are two different cookies this website may use; both will be indicated as “AWSALB cookies” as both of them are load balancer cookies designed for different browsers. One of the AWS cookies is the AWSALB cookie and the other AWS cookie is the AWSALBCORS cookie. Depending on your browser one or both may be used by us to determine the ideal routing path and to allocate server traffic to optimize the user experience and performance. . The AWSALB cookies are encrypted and do not contain any personally identifiable information.
AWS – AWSALB or AWSALBCORS
Both of the AWSALB cookies are set by the load balancer on AWS. From a technical perspective a load balancer is an application that routes and manages the traffic to and from the application. We use load balancers provided as a service from AWS and it is on this level that one of the AWSALB cookies are set. The load balancer sits in between the browser and the actual server hence any request coming from the browser first arrives at the load balancer which redirects that request to an available server.
The purpose of this cookie is to allocate server traffic to make the user experience smooth and fast. Our websites may have multiple instances of the application on different servers behind the load balancer. This means that requests coming from a browser can be served by many different servers. Both AWSALB cookies help the load balancer to identify the optimal final server to which requests coming from a specific browser should be routed to.
The AWSALB cookie is generated on the first request from the browser to the load balancer. It is then stored on the user’s browser and sent with each subsequent request to the load balancer.
You can prevent the storage of cookies or beacons by making a corresponding setting in your browser software; however, note that if you do so you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can view the precise storage duration of the cookies for yourself by accessing this information via your respective browser. The legal basis is a legitimate interest under Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 f GDPR, namely pursuance of our business purposes and the protection of our websites.
